Municipal Fire Alarms Level I

Topics covered in the Level I course include:

  1. Fire Detection Systems Design

  2. Understanding Blueprints and Specifications

  3. Fire Alarm Wiring and Methods

  4. Testing Techniques

The Associate Interior Fire Alarm Technician Level I program consists of a series of four courses, each followed by a short, multiple choice quiz (Unit Examination). Each course is designed to assist you in furthering your personal and professional growth, as well as contributing to your organizational needs and that of your community.

Through the Associate Interior Fire Alarm Technician Level I courses, you will review the basics that are really required in your job for that personal and professional growth you desire. Through this program, you will be better prepared to lower the risks of accidents and injuries, further the development of professionalism in the industry, promote the need for Public Safety, and be better prepared to face the next level in the IMSA Fire Alarm Certification Program.

Municipal Fire Alarms Level II

The objectives of the Interior Fire Alarm Program are to assist the governmental agencies and private companies in lowering the likelihood of unwarranted legal actions, to reduce the incidence of unnecessary and false alarms and to increase the quality of fire alarm maintenance and code enforcement personnel.

Topics covered in the Level II course include:

  1. Fire Detection Systems Design II

  2. Understanding Computers and Computer Aided Design

  3. Sprinkler/Standpipe Design and Connections

  4. The Americans with Disabilities Act

  5. Understanding Notification Appliances

The Interior Fire Alarm Technician Level II study guide consists of a series of four sections, each followed by a short multiple choice quiz (unit examination).
